Weavercat is a 24 yr-old female thing who doesn't know what she wants to do in life. A current art-student who has rediscovered her love of prehistoric critters. I'd like to work as scientific/medical illustrator someday.
  • Lookit what Wolfy drew for me.

Humphrey you are not subtle and Maid is not going to fall for your- oh. Is that hot cocoa? Well, since you went to all that trouble maybe a little smooch won’t hurt. A smooch between friends is still just a smooch right?

    AZ belongs to Weavercat!

I.. I think I’m terrified of Az now. Those claws. Those sharp hooves. That tail. Oh cripes. That mane is so, I feel as if I could reach out and stroke it and it would feel  like shaggy hair. Thank you so much Crispy and I will get those snuggly arts to you tomorrow afternoon.

    {cxlv} steller’s jay.

this is actually similar to an assignment I had to do in my final year of high school - two illustration pieces, hand-lettered, one of still life and the other was free-reign, I believe.
This one isn’t hand-lettered {though I tried; but it’s far too late in the evening for my brain to function properly, it seems}, but I do like this illustration better than whatever I did a year ago.

I actually enjoyed this! It feels like my first proper illustration in a long time.

And it is the law that once you post, you see all the mistakes that couldn’t be seen five minutes ago. All at once.

One of my many art-buddies is fantastic and you all should go and follow xfreischutz right now. Hop to it folks!

One of Weavercat’s BirdFolk. I love avian-based critters, so I had to try my hand at one of these guys. I wasn’t sure what colors they came in, so I went for a kind of peacock blue/green. I hope that’s kosher!

Guys, guys. Go look at Wryd66’s Tumblr. They are a crazy amazing person and this totally makes my day. Look at that little suit and those feathers!

Rock Stygimoloch!  For my buddy Weavercat :D

It is a little known fact that Stygimoloch were often seen rocking out with their guitars during the late Cretaceous in North America. This is a true to life rendering of what one of these Punk-Rock Pachycehpalosaurians would have looked like.

Rowkey, this is perfect. XD The tail-piercings, bracelets and just… write a book about musical dinosaurs. This is a brilliant idea and you could make it come to life like no other. ;)
